BIG Giveaway Teaser & Open House...

Good evening everyone!  Today was parent teacher conference day and I am worn out!  Longggg day with parents and students, while also trying to prepare for my week with the kiddos! How is it that I can never catch up?! (Tell me I'm not alone?!) Two quick things to chat about before I retire to bed...

2. We had open house a few weeks ago and I just wanted to share a few photos!   Some day I will start blogging about my classroom adventures in real time...but I'm not that good yet. ;)

Parent Survey about his/her child.

I had each student's table spot decorated with his/her photo, science work, and a survey that parents were to complete.  Students "graded" the paper the next day to see how well their parents knew them! (Great idea borrowed from a co-worker!)

Hallway bulletin board- I created birds with a variety of scrap book paper and wrote student's names on the wings. I then hot glued clothes pins to the birds and then to the board. If I do say so myself...they are ADORABLE! I will try to get a closer picture of the birds next time! I plan on simply changing student work throughout the year- NOT re-doing the whole board...once the year starts that board is the least of my worries. ;)

Hey y'all!  I have been SO BUSY and feel like a major neglectful blogger. I have been helping my mom move and have been completely exhausted every night after leaving her house! Whew-wee! PLUS the new puppy is a handful, but we love him! I also keep struggling with cleaning my house or working on classroom plans- classroom plans keep winning...oops! :/ However, my year-at-a-glance is almost finished being transferred from chicken scratch to a typed, cute file! (It has to be cute, right?!)

Firstly, THANK YOU everyone who is following and your sweet comments! A few people have sent me an award...and I feel like a dummy for now knowing how to accept!? Any helpful hints on how to accept those would be great. Arg...I shall figure all this out eventually! :)

I am going to make a quick post about my accomplishment of finally getting a few things loaded on Teacher's Pay Teachers- for some reason, for me, it was a challenge! I have loaded a freebie of Classroom Job Labels- the labels are in two sets, on a light blue background and a red background.  Included also are blank tags that student names could be placed on! I am going to laminate them and place the cards on a ribbon/burlap and use clothes pins with student names on them to make it easy for me to rotate classroom responsibilities! (We all know if it's not easy to keep up with- forget it!) There is a picture below (that for some reason is fuzzy) with an idea of how I plan to put them into action! 

 I also have posted my Binder Cover Pages  for those of you who missed out on the freebie from my last post!  I was so nervous that I wasn't going to get any emails to receive the free product and BOY was I wrong! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to those that emailed me about the product! I originally posted that the first 15 emails would receive the Binder Pages for free, but I extended it to 25 since I was so excited about the response! Lastly, I have posted "Whoo Knows Their Math Facts"- Addition Timed Tests with an owl theme!  This file was actually my first "creation of cuteness" (that's what I call everyone in blogland's adorable files with irresistible cuteness) and I am so excited to share it with you! It includes 50 pages of goodies including Common Core Connections, Student Tracking Charts, Student Study Guide, two sets of Timed Tests- +1-+10, Doubles Tests, Final Review Test, AND flashcards! I hope you find it useful!

Lastly, I am so envious of those of you who are allowed back into your classrooms already! I am DYING to get into my building and just got an email that we cannot get in until August 6th! Cannot believe it, rather frustrating...but I shall continue to bust my behind at home! ;) I am continuing to work on painting shelves, and thrift store finds...! Talk soon...!
